Hello

  • Should I have curtains, if so what heading style would work best, colour, design, would any of this overpower the room or would it just look plain, uninteresting and bland?

  • Would a blind work better, should I have a Roman blind or maybe there are other choices?

  • The colour scheme just doesn't seem to work well, maybe I should add pattern, or tone it down with pastel tones?

  • I am concerned about light in our bedroom, my husband/wife likes the room to be darkened to enable restful sleep, what would work best?

  • Maybe, you have just moved into your new home, and are totally overwhelmed when browsing the net for inspiration?

If you relate to these questions and you are finding the right design overwhelming?

We can help!

At Julia's Curtains and Interiors we aim to turn the vision that you have for your Interiors into a reality, I am City & Guilds qualified in Curtains and Soft Furnishings and I have a recognised Higher National Diploma in Interior Design.

When you contact us, you will initially be offered a telephone appointment to discuss your requirements and get an idea of the style, colour and design that would work best for you.

If you are then happy to move on further, we can book in an appointment to meet with you, bring sample fabrics for you to browse over, take measurements and offer professional advice.  If you are not certain with the fabrics, then we will keep going and source some more until we find the perfect one!  We do make a charge for this professional service, which will be deducted from the final invoice upon completion/fitting of your window dressing.

Let me tell you a little about myself!

I'm Julia, I have always been creative from a young girl making clothes from fabrics that had caught my eye, friends parents were impressed but at the time I couldn't see why?  I took my first job in a Solicitors office, and that was the route I went down for many years.  My interest and obsession with interiors continued, making curtains, blinds, taking fabrics apart, adding motifs - I loved it.   Interiors had always been a hobby and it didn't occur to me that a career could be built from it, until later in life after working for various offices that I decided to take a professional City & Guilds qualification in Curtain Making and Design, from here I set up my business and have been loving turning customers visions into a reality for them.
This has now moved on in between the ups and downs of family life, and I have attained an accredited qualification in Interior Design, which I am excited to be offering to customers in the coming months.  I use a professional design software, and I will work out for you how the space will not only look, but how you want the space to feel, and how it will function.   I love the planning and laying out of the rooms to work out how the space will work best for customers, layering and combining colour palettes to tone down or add excitement to each design scheme.
